Bristol North West Foodbank

The Bristol North West Foodbank is helping over 10,000 people a year with emergency food and we see this rising with the cost of living crisis. A grant from Temple Charity has helped us with the purchase of a new van which is an essential work horse for our work and we are so grateful we could buy one compliant with the clean air zone in Bristol.

The van is used to help us with the logistics of picking up food from our donation points at supermarkets and churches, as well as helping us move food from our warehouse in Avonmouth to  our four foodbank outlets in Henbury, Lawrence Weston, Hotwells and Avonmouth.

We also use the van for food parcel deliveries to sick & housebound clients, transporting wood for our workshop, and delivering Homebank orders, such as fridges, beds, vacuum cleaners, bedding etc.  These go to families who have been moved due to issues such as domestic abuse, or people moving from shelters into accommodation for the first time, refugees who are being housed, as well as those struggling on very low incomes.
