St Augustine Church Worship and Community Centre
Saint Augustine’s church Whitchurch was declared unfit for purpose in 2007 and closed down. The congregation continued to meet in the local school but dreamt of a new facility to serve the community and share the love of Jesus. Thanks, in part, to a generous grant from the Temple Charitable trust, we opened our new building in November 2015.
There is now a modern facility with a Cafe, worship space, meeting rooms and an office which is proving to be a real asset to the community. Vibrant Sunday worship, including the new “Kids Fun Church”, Hungry monkeys Play Cafe, a prayer and listening service, Altzheimers support group and many more activities are all proving to be a real blessing to Whitchurch.
The funding provided by Temple Charitable trust has had a significant impact on the lives of the community of Whitchurch and the congregation of Saint Augustine.
